      David has been with GSK since 2013 in a number of capacities within Medical Affairs at both the country and global level, and currently acts as the Global Scientific Affairs Lead for GSKs Zoster vaccine program. David received his PhD in molecular biology and genetics from the University of Guelph, CANADA where he studied various aspects of smallpox vaccine. Prior to joining GSK, as a fellow of the National Cancer Institute of Canada, David completed postdoctoral studies at Emory University in Atlanta where he studied Epstein-barr virus latency. Subsequently, David worked at Mount Sinai Hospital (Toronto) and the University of Toronto, in the Department of Immunology, to manage preclinical HIV vaccine development and novel pathogen discovery programs in partnership with Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada. David was the recipient of an Ontario HIV Junior Investigator award (OHTN) and peer-reviewed operating grants from the CIHR and OHTN. David has most recently co-developing and delivered a graduate level course on vaccine development at the University of Toronto. David has experience in intellectual property and commercialization and holds North American and International patents. He has a long-standing interest in Infectious Diseases, Virology and Vaccine Development, and Immunization.
