    Daphne Korczak MD, MSc, FRCPC (Paeds), FRCPC (Psych)

    • Bio

      Dr. Korczak is the Director of the Children's Integrated Mood and Body (CLIMB) Depression Program, Psychiatrist and Clinician-Researcher in the Department of Psychiatry at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Her research focuses on the study of depression in children and adolescents, the biopsychosocial pathways subserving the association between depression and cardiometabolic disorders, and cardiovascular disease, and novel interventions for depression and its associated conditions. Dr. Korczak is the Chair of the Youth Suicide Prevention Working Group at the Centre for Brain and Mental health at Sick Kids, Vice President of the Mental Health Section for the Canadian Paediatric Society, and a past member of the CPS Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Committee. As an active educator and advocate for children's mental health, she is committed to increasing the accessibility of mental health information for clinicians, and has authored position statements regarding the use of pharmacotherapy in childhood depression and anxiety, and suicide risk assessment.
