Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program
Luisa is a nurse practitioner in primary health care and teaches in the masters and nurse practitioner programs at Ryerson University in Toronto. She has served as a board director in several community health centres in Ontario. Luisa has also been involved in the development of the Canadian Nurse Practitioner Competencies and she continues to be a reviewer of nurse practitioner educational programs throughout Canada. Luisa completed her doctorate in Pittsburgh, PA which focused on the symbiotic health relationship between animals and humans using the One Health Framework. As such, she was the recipient of the DNP Leadership Award. She has been in the PCT planning committee since 2005.
